I don’t remember.

Most of you know the mental illnesses I struggle with: PTSD, major depressive disorder, severe anxiety disorder, etc. Then there’s the physical illnesses: crazy food allergies, gut impermeability, migraines, loss of hearing, adrenal fatigue, frightening memory loss… All the doctors agree that it has to be some auto immune disease, but no one can pin point WHICH auto immune disease. So, I eat clean, exercise, take my meds and vitamins, and go to therapy. I do what I’m “supposed” to do. Continue reading “I don’t remember.”

I’m still here.

Last night, I , along with a few friends, volunteered for Food for the Hungry with the Toby Mac Hits Deep Tour. It was a huge line up: Hollyn, Ryan Stevenson, Matt Powell, Matt Meher, Mandisa, Diverse City, and Capital Kings….and of course Toby Mac. The music was phenomenal. Literally, being surrounded by that many people worshipping ONE God with one voice, was truly magnificent to witness. I’m so glad I was able to be a part of such a great event. EMDR

EMDR therapy is hard. It’s a type of trauma therapy that my therapist is using on me to help with different events in my life. Before I go too far, I want you to know what exactly is EMDR therapy: Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing* involves eye movement or tactical stimulation to activate the opposite side of the brain that is “holding on” to memories, trauma, “triggers,” etc. Continue reading “EMDR”
