Presence or Presents?

Well this week has been eventful and it’s only Wednesday. Andrew (my middle child) had a tummy bug, I have been sick still, my preggo friends are about to pop, and numerous other activities have occurred. Monday night, after Bible study, we were bathing buddy. I was singing “In the presence of Jehovah” and he popped off with “What presents? Ho Ho presents? or My birthday presents??” I mean, what do you say to a 3 year old at that point, really? I just busted out laughing. <Bless his heart>

Last night, I had a counseling session. I’ve been training to become a biblical counselor through ACBC, and have had the pleasure of observing under my mentor. She is awesome! She thoroughly enjoys what she does and gives all the glory to God for successes. I can only pray to be half as good as she is, one day. I truly feel this is my ministry for Christ, and am humbly trying my best to not screw it up. {If you aren’t familiar with it, Biblical counseling is counsel using the Word of God as a standard to live by, to mend marriages, fix relationships, free someone from a snare, bring families together, offer hope, encourage, and draw others to Christ. It is not something I take lightly.} I have the opportunity to observe again tomorrow night. And I’ve been informed that my observation should include talking not just listening 🙂 Lol. So I guess I will begin my counseling ministry tomorrow night! Pray for all of us included in this session, please.

Today was our first homeschooling play date. It was great. We went to the park, made a new friend, and the kids had a blast. It’s the first sunny day in a while, so we decided to enjoy it. I’m pretty sure we will be homeschooling outside the rest of the week, due to the sunshine. Sunshine makes everything better 🙂 Even math!

I told y’all it was a busy week! I’m trying to balance hs with counseling and housework and playtime. Hopefully I will figure that out soon. I’m super excited to see how things go once Mitchell is out of public school. Only 3 more weeks! I’ll leave you with a picture of the boys’ hs yesterday morning. They take it very serious!

I am a child of God, first and foremost. Secondly I am a wife; very much ( and sometimes undeservingly) loved, by my husband Sam. And last, but most certainly not least, I am a mom to 3 beautiful boys: Mitchell, Andrew and Buddy. We homeschool, love family time, and enjoy helping others. I am also a doula. I love my work and love writing about it as well. I am very passionate about my beliefs, and my blogs tend to show that. Enjoy reading!
