Today I woke up with a horrible migraine. Still, I had to get Mitchell to school. Once Andrew and Buddy and I were home, it was nap time. (For me, anyway). Buddy watched “eeeem umizoooomi” which, translated, means ‘Team Umi Zoomi,’ and I took my meds and laid down beside him. Andrew was supposed to be taking a nap too, which I was about 99% sure wasn’t going to happen, but regardless, he laid down. I set the alarm, and went to sleep. Once I woke up, I found that boys seriously do NOT need fancy toys to entertain themselves. This is what I found:
Yes, that is all of my plastic cups. However, I think he did a dang good job! I might have an architect on my hands 🙂
After all our hs (homeschooling) work was complete, I decided we needed fresh air on this beautiful day. So we went for a walk. Well, that is, I walked. Andrew rode his bike, and Buddy rode his 4 wheeler–the 1st time. The second time, Buddy rode his bike. Might I add, I will gladly let him take that 4 wheeler over the bike anyday! I had to run the entire time just to keep up with him! That child can pedal faster than I thought! Then he had the audacity to ask ME to push HIM back home. I told him, “No! YOU need to push MOMMA!” He thought that was funny. We had fun though, got some exercise and sunshine in. All in all it’s been a good day.
Now I’m off to teach my best friend and her husband some labor breathing techniques and exercises. She is due soon, as well as my other best friend. Pray they don’t deliver on the same day, since I have to help them both! Also, pray the boys don’t ask me how they get the baby out, because I am sooo not there yet!
As for Andrew and his lack of need for a real toy to occupy his time…..
2 Thessalonians 3:11 “We hear that some among you are idle. They are not busy, they are busybodies.”
We know this can’t be said of Andrew!
